Weddings are our specialty at The Castle in Dahlonega, Georgia! Although we also host Rehearsal Dinners, Parties and Banquets, we are primarliy focused on hosting North Georgia weddings that are fun, hassle-free, and memorable. The ability to incorporate our Castle theme into weddings can be a real plus!
The Castle is a special place. Situated within a nine acre North Georgia mountain estate, Cavender Castle is a magical venue for weddings of all sizes. No need to travel to Europe for your Castle Wedding! We host Castle Weddings right here in Georgia at Cavender Castle!
Why consider Cavender Castle for your Castle Wedding? Depending upon the size of your wedding we feature four possible ceremony sites. Also, every event we host is private. We are not open to the public for daily business. This means that all weddings at The Castle (even our smallest, most intimate weddings) are private events where you and your guests have 100% of our staff's attention.
We boast a full service kitchen and staff on site. Co-owner, Rick Durham, brings 25 years of international food and beverage experience as the leader of our Culinary Team.
Our other co-owner, Cyndi Durham personally works with every bride as our Wedding Coordinator. Her delightful personality and attention to detail makes her a pleasure for brides and your wedding party to work with. Cyndi's goal is to make every wedding, PERFECT, without all the stress and hassle for the bridal party. Also, a new addition to our team is Jr. Coordinator Lynn Versluys.

Our Old World Gazebo is the centerpiece of one of the largest outdoor wedding sites in the USA! This beautiful ceremony Gazebo was hand crafted in Italy and imported to North Georgia. Nestled in the valley of a natural amphitheater this venue offers you the opportunity to host an outdoor wedding with an UNLIMITED number of guests!
After the Ceremony things move up to The Castle!
The King's Ballroom is fully equipped with professional quality light, sound, and audio visual gear. Disc Jockeys, Videographers and Photographers will appreciate our control room loft where they are assured of capturing your special moments without interfering with the ceremony or reception:
The Castle is elegant without being pretentious. We are known as being a "FUN" venue to have your wedding.
The Blue Lagoon outdoor deck can seat around 100 guests in an elegant, but comfortable setting. Many of our wedding parties use this area as the site for their outdoor reception. We have also used this a more intimate ceremony site for smaller weddings:

We also offer a three room Brides Suite so that the Bride and Bridesmaids can prepare for the special day in total comfort and privacy.

The Knights Overlook is a large outdoor deck where many wedding parties set up a bar and allow guest to get away from all the activity around the rest of The Castle. It also works well as a site for company parties cocktail parties and family dinners:
The grounds around The Castle contain many delightful spots for photos of the Bride, Groom and their guests.
All around The Castle you will find a wide variety of plants and flowers in bloom.
